Do you Excel using Excel? How long have you been using it, and are you comfortable with your knowledge? How did you learn to do what you do? Chances are you may have learned in school, or from a co-worker, or maybe you taught yourself ( ... Google anyone?). Another question might be, “What DON'T you know, and what would make it easier?” This is a much harder question to answer because we usually don’t know what we don’t know.
That’s where I can help. Sometimes simply seeing someone use a different method than you *know* can be a game changer. For twenty-four (24!) years I’ve helped people learn things with their Microsoft programs. I’ve helped people in industries from accounting to Real Estate, and from manufacturing to general contracting. I can't tell you how many times I've heard someone exclaim "that's SO much easier than how I do it!"
I look forward to offering (at least) five examples of easy to learn tips and tricks so you can walk away knowing how you can work smarter, and not harder, with Excel.
During the April Biz Café, Diana will cover:
Using the Office Clipboard to easily gather multiple pieces of data
Quick keyboard shortcuts to cut/copy and paste, and switch between windows
Applying Consistent Formatting using the format painter
Understanding essential Excel terminology and tools, such as the Quick Access Toolbar, sheet tabs and cell addresses
Build Simple Formulas (addition) and Functions (COUNTIF and others) to summarize your data
