More Higher Ed opportunities align with Industry 4.0

From pre-K through high school and beyond, the schools and educational opportunities available across Northern Nevada are some of best in the Silver State — not to mention across the West as a whole.

Major technology, shipping, healthcare and other high-level employers such as Google, Tesla, ITS Logistics, Renown Health, International Game Technology (IGT), Apple, Intuit and Panasonic are constantly on the lookout for skilled workers and are therefore pulling from the increasingly attractive talent pool produced from University of Nevada, Reno, Truckee Meadows Community College, Western Nevada College, and beyond. UNR remains at the forefront of higher education throughout all of Nevada. The world-renowned university founded in 1874 boasts an enrollment of over 21,000 students served by nearly 1,050 academic faculty, resulting in a desirable 19:1 student-to-faculty ratio.

The schools and colleges at UNR are home to a wide variety of departments, units, centers, labs and amazing faculty and staff, including the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology & Natural Resources; the College of Business; the College of Education; the Reynolds School of Journalism; the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med); and the College of Engineering.
