Business leaders named to NCET board
Jason Garlington
Jason Garlington has been elected vice president of audio-visual for NCET, a member-supported non-profit that produces educational and networking events to help people explore businesses and technology.
Kevin Ciccotti, Jodi Herzik, Sue Irvin and Patrick McFarland have been re-elected to the board of directors of NCET.
Garlington has been owner of ProSource AV & Integration in Reno since 2014 and has worked more than 10 years as a self-employed integrator and programmer of home audio-visual and automation systems.
Kevin Ciccotti
He also has worked as a vehicle fleet manager for the Nevada Air National Guard and as a superintendent with the U.S. Air Force.
Garlington earned an associate’s degree in computer systems networking and telecommunications from Truckee Meadows Community College.
Kevin Ciccotti, re-elected as vice president of Biz Café, is a Certified Professional Coach and president of Human Factor Formula, Inc. Prior to forming his company in 2008, he spent 25 years working for International Game Technology, including more than 16 years in leadership roles in IGT’s Product Development Group.
He was trained at The Coaches Training Institute and with the Robbins-Madanes Center for Strategic Intervention.
Herzik
Jodi Herzik
Herzik, re-elected as NCET’s vice president of Biz Cafe, works as executive director of professional development programs at the University of Nevada, Reno.
She previously worked as director of UNR’s Redfield Campus and as chief administrative officer of Bristlecone Family Resources. She also has held development and human resources positions with the College of Liberal Arts at UNR.
Herzik earned a bachelor’s degree in English and political science and a master’s degree in public administration from UNR.
Irvin
Irvin, Banking Center Manager and Small Business Lender at Mutual of Omaha Bank in Reno, was elected vice president of membership administration for NCET.
Sue Irvin
She has worked in the banking industry since 2002 and has held management positions in commercial banks in the Reno area for more than 13 years.
Irvin earned an associate’s degree in business administration from Western Nevada College and a bachelor’s degree in human resource management and personnel administration from Columbia Southern University. She is a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School.
Patrick McFarland
McFarland, re-elected as NCET’s vice president of creative services, is the director of marketing at ITS Logistics, a premier third-party logistics company that provides personalized supply chain solutions with an asset-based dedicated fleet, innovative distribution and fulfillment services, and a nationwide multi-modal Top 50 freight brokerage.
For more than 20 years, he has worked in marketing, advertising and graphic design, and held full-time positions with Greg Mason Advertising Arts, Saint Mary’s, and the University of Nevada, Reno.
McFarland earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in advertising and a minor in the psychology of marketing from UNR.
