Reno is home to a thriving state-of-the-art confection company Kimmie Candy. The 43,000-square foot candy production facility and warehouse is a sweet spot in the Biggest Little City, and boasts a customer base of not only coast-to-coast sales in the United States but also Canada, Mexico, the Philippines, South America, and the Middle East.
President, CEO Joe Dutra will lead the Tech Wednesday event and tour. Dutra will share the genesis of Kimmie Candy, explain the candy making process, and lead physical tours throughout the candy-making factory.
During your visit you’ll see:
The sugar panning process, and see how the sugar shell gets applied onto products
The lentil center, and learn how supplements are dosed
How Kimmie Candy produces flat bars for the company’s famous ChocoRocks®
How Kimmie Candy sprays chocolate and smooths products
Of course, you’ll see the retail store (easy holiday shopping!)
