Iris Automation is a safety avionics technology company pioneering on- and off-board perception systems and aviation policy services. Located inside the University of Nevada, Reno Innevation Center, Iris Automation leverages expertise in aviation, AI and machine learning to develop and sell one of the most advanced Detect and Avoid solutions in the world.
The Iris Automation Casia I, Casia X and Casia G systems are turnkey solutions for true beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) drone operation. The systems detect, track and classify other objects to make intelligent decisions about the threat they may pose to uncrewed vehicle. Casia then triggers automated maneuvers to avoid collisions, and alerts the pilot in command of the mission. The tool is being used by customers globally.
During October’s Tech Wednesday you will see and learn:
· Why there is a need for such detect, alert, and avoid technology
· Why machine learning is a great solution compared to other technologies
· How Iris Automation collects data to engineer and build such systems
