NCET names two new members to board
Dana Sullivan Kilroy and Sarita Delgado will help promote NCET across Nevada
Today, the Nevada Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (NCET) announced the election of two new board members. The NCET is a member-supported nonprofit that produces educational and networking events to help people explore businesses and technology in Northern Nevada.
Dana Sullivan Kilroy, a public relations and communications professional with The Ferraro Group, will serve as vice president, public relations. Sarita Delgado, a benefit solutions consultant at Clark & Associates, will serve as vice president, Biz Café. Kilroy and Delgado are the first two board appointments made by the organization’s new president and CEO, Sarah Johns. Johns took the helm earlier this year following the retirement of Dave Archer.
“One of my first goals as new CEO is to add diverse voices to our board and I’m so happy to have found Dana and Sarita. Together they have decades of experience that will help NCET grow and meet the needs of our booming region,” said Johns.
Sarita Delgado earned a bachelor’s degree in human services and a master’s in health administration from the University of Phoenix. She is also a member of the United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra Women’s Committee.
“I’ve been a fan of NCET’s work in helping build up businesses in our region for years and I’m excited to get to work with Sarah and the other board members to make the organization even stronger,” said Delgado.
Dana Sullivan Kilroy has more than 20 years’ experience in journalism and corporate communications. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from UCLA and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Nevada. She serves as vice chair of the board for First Tee Northern Nevada and is also on the board of Washoe Legal Services.
“NCET works hard to bring valuable attention to many of the businesses that make our region such a great place to work and live. I look forward to helping Sarah and the other members of this board get the word out about all the great things NCET is doing to make our community even more vibrant,” said Kilroy.
