What does track-and-trace software, Dirty Wookie, panty subscriptions, cybersecurity and salumi have in common?  They’re all products or services offered by the organizations that won the 2020 NCET and EDAWN Awards.

One of the many things I love about working at NCET is getting to meet the incredible people and companies who drive our vibrant and diverse business and technology community. One of the ways I discover them is through these annual awards.

The NCET Tech Awards – now in its 13th year – celebrate the Northern Nevada individuals and companies who have greatly enhanced the growth and prestige of our technology community, while the EDAWN Awards recognize the people and resources that have played an integral part in contributing to the growth of our entrepreneurial community.

For the first time in NCET Tech Awards history, women and women-owned businesses make up half of this year’s award winners! From academic professionals to artificial intelligence operators, these women represent the great technological landscape in Northern Nevada. Please join me in a special congratulations for each of these women and women-owned businesses!

Now, getting back to drones and Dirty Wookie, here are just a few of this year’s award-winning companies and organizations:

NCET and EDAWN will honor each of these companies and organizations along with all the other winners at the NCET Tech Showcase at 3 pm on Wednesday, October 21 in a hybrid event originating at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.  You can learn more about all thirty winners and purchase tickets for the online Awards Galal at www.NCETawards.com.
