The new year brings new chances to make the changes you’ve been talking about. Sure, you can make changes at any time of year, but let’s face it, there’s something about the clean slate of Jan. 1 that really sparks evolution and setting resolutions.

Now, we all know the statistics. According to U.S. News, about 80% of goals set for the new year fail by February. It’s important to not just set goals but to create sustainable strategies and tactics to achieve them. In a recent article for Entreprenuer.com and the Young Entrepreneurs Council, Stephanie Wells, the founder of Formidable Forms, shares 4 resolutions for entrepreneurs to embrace this year. Hint: they aren’t just about growth and revenue.

In fact, Wells suggests that finding balance in your life should be a key focus for entrepreneurs in 2020.

“When you tell yourself the workday is over, mean it,” she writes. “Be intentional about your plans. Silence your work notifications. Avoid checking emails, and don’t respond to work-related messages. Learn to say no when necessary to protect yourself from overcommitting and experiencing burnout.”
