Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (NCET) is hosting its 15th annual Small Business Expo on Friday, October 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Mt. Rose Ballroom at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.

The NCET Small Business Expo is Northern Nevada’s largest and oldest business-to-business expo. The annual expo provides business owners an opportunity to network with more than 1,000 businesspeople, meet over 100 exhibitors and learn from six different educational sessions. Admission for small business owners is free with the presentation of a business card and no pre-registration is needed.

The Expo’s list of educational speakers aims to provide the latest information about legal issues, marketing channels and business planning matters. Speakers and sessions include Data Analysis for Small Business by Doug Edmondo, Adventures in Entrepreneurship by Ira Gostin, SCORE Northern Nevada’s Free Business Resources and a special presentation by Holland & Hart.

“After the immense obstacles we have all faced due to COVID-19, we are especially proud to offer the premier networking event to Northern Nevadans again,” said Dave Archer, President and CEO of NCET. “We have been anticipating this opportunity to meet with one another and share business expertise. I look forward to an educational and insightful expo as we continue to resiliently bounce back from the effects of the pandemic.”

The Expo also offers opportunities for small business owners and entrepreneurs by creating informal one-on-one conversations and networking with fellow attendees. Additionally, more than 100 vendors are located throughout the Expo providing advice on business plans, financial strategies, marketing, social media messages, legal concerns for small businesses and more.

“NCET’s Small Business Expo is an excellent place for entrepreneurs to learn about the resources that are available to help their companies grow and thrive,” said Governor Steve Sisolak. “Small businesses are the backbone of Nevada’s economy and I am committed to continuing to support them. In Nevada, nearly 60 percent of all employees work for businesses that have 100 or fewer employees and two thirds of all Nevada businesses have four or fewer employees. The remarkable creativity and energy of Nevada’s entrepreneurs have established the State among the nation’s leaders."
