ABOUT NCET 

Founded in 1999, Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (NCET) is now Northern Nevada’s largest educational and networking organization, a 500+ member-supported 501(c)(3) Nevada nonprofit that produces 36 programs and events each year to help people explore business and technology. NCET’s President and Chief Executive Officer leads a 25-member “working” Board of Directors which is responsible for much of NCET’s day-to-day operations including marketing, social media, creative services, and event management, etc. 

JOB SUMMARY  

NCET is seeking a full-time President / CEO to replace our current President / CEO who is retiring in early / mid 2022. NCET is a 100% virtual organization, and this is a remote position. The President / CEO is responsible for overseeing NCET’s day-to-day operations including event production, membership acquisition and retention, revenue generation, strategic planning, and stakeholder communication. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Oversee NCET‘s day-to-day operations, including event production and revenue generation, while ensuring the organization’s financial sustainability

  • Provide leadership in developing program, organizational, strategic, and financial plans

  • Drive membership, sponsorship, and in-kind donation program

  • Schedule and lead Board meetings and provide reports and updates

  • Establish and execute NCET’s goals, objectives, and operational plans

  • Effectively represent NCET in the business and technology communities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • At least five years of demonstrated and successful experience, with increasing responsibility, in a middle or senior management role in a nonprofit or for-profit organization or association

  • At least three years serving on, or working with, an organization’s Board of Directors

  • Experience in fiscal management including Profit and Loss responsibility, and preparing and securing approval of complex budgets

  • Experience in creating and establishing clear, measurable business goals

  • A proven history of achieving sales or revenue growth

  • A strong passion for the mission and programs of NCET and how they impact the business and technology communities

  • Experience in influencing and leading an organization towards positive growth

  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to work well with media, staff, and the community

COMPENSATION 

  • $70,000 to $90,000 depending on experience and benefit selection
