Go Behind the Scenes to See How the Peppermill Creates the Video Art Visible Throughout the Resort
When you visit the Peppermill, you can’t miss the living art that plays on over 1,000 screens throughout the resort. Those high-definition video images are created by the in-house electronics media department at the Peppermill.
At the July Tech Wednesday, Joe Ness, Electronic Media Department director at the Peppermill, will give a tour of the resort’s film production company—the largest in Northern Nevada.
The electronic media staff travels around the world to shoot high definition video. Ness’ vision is to focus on simple, clean images where the only movement is the action occurring in the film. There are no special effects, fade outs or other popular video techniques used with the over 50,000 images that play randomly in 15-, 30- and 60-second clips all day, every day.
The second part of the tour will include the technology at EDGE nightclub, where a liquid nitrogen generator plant creates smoke effects and the 20-watt full color LED laser effects create the dance club’s unique ambiance.
Join us for Tech Wednesday on July 9 for this spectacular behind-the-scenes tour.
