Free Live Stream: 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Virtual Networking: 4 pm to 4:30 pm

Zoom Info Below

Get an exclusive virtual tour of Reno Ice, a new state-of-the-art ice arena bringing dreams to life with year-round recreational activities and facilities.

Reno Ice uses intelligent ice systems and futuristic Zamboni technologies to provide Washoe County with a true community center built around safety and design.

Joel Grace, President of the Board of Directors for Reno Ice, will discuss how the nonprofit formed its organization around Olympic quality features.

As a capital campaign, the Greater Reno Community Ice Skating Association (GRCISA) worked diligently to bring Reno Ice to life. Now, it is the only NHL regulation ice rink in the area bringing cultural, recreational, and entertainment opportunities for youth and adults, residents, and visitors.

With current COVID-19 safety guidelines in mind, attendees will also learn about the online reservation system designed to keep lobby interactions to a minimum.

After a six-year-long process, Reno Ice plans to open its doors for public skate sessions sometime in December. Customers will be able to complete waivers, rent equipment, and pay before arriving at the ice rink.

Reno Ice is also looking into a virtual platform called LiveBarn to provide a 180-degree view of the ice rink so parents, family, friends, and fans can watch games or practices on a mobile device from the comfort of their home.

But, innovation doesn’t stop once you enter the arena. The Level-Ice system Reno Ice uses delivers flawless results as it is in total communication with the electric Zamboni. Operators can focus on driving as the leveling system simultaneously controls the blades to achieve accurate and level ice surfaces. For efficiency and sustainability, the Zamboni is powered by lithium-ion batteries instead of propane, and its operating plant uses Aqua Ammonia to keep temperatures consistent.
