Periscope: Live from the World
Brands, News & Citizen Journalism
From Periscope, Twitter and Meerkat, to YouTube (and now Facebook), live streaming is the new reality for brands, news, citizen journalists, and you and me. Although it has been around for several years, live streaming didn’t catch on until the recent arrival of mobile apps Periscope and Meerkat. Now, as marketing-communications budgets reach unprecedented levels and companies continually vie for precious market share, more than a third of CMOs say that digital marketing will account for 75 percent or more of their spending within the next five years.
How do we navigate the landscape in a time when a single tweet can mean disaster for a brand, and a single live stream can report the news — unfiltered — to the world?
Join NCET for Tech Bite on February 24, and get the scoop on live streaming from Matt Lush, Account Executive with Abbi Agency. Matt will discuss the current streaming apps available and focus on their use for business, news and citizen journalism. He will finish out the discussion by highlighting the new media landscape and how to integrate it into marketing campaigns.
NCET members may bring an unlimited number of guests at member prices. Join before you RSVP for this event and your savings will pay for some of all of your membership!
