Cloud and Backup Tips for Protecting Your Business
Including: The 20 most common backup mistakes
Hardware failure, hacking, viruses, and software bugs all result in data loss. The recent outbreak of the Cryptolocker and CryptoWall viruses in Reno has resulted in massive loss of company data. On June 24, Darren McBride, CEO of Sierra Computer Group will share stories of backup success and failure using real world examples. The presentation is designed for business owners, managers, and non-IT users but will have enough technical depth to also provide actionable protection planning for techies. The discussion will include how to protect IT assets using multiple backup methods, both locally and in the cloud. The latest advances in backup software for small and medium businesses will be discussed along with mitigating human error, a big cause of data loss. The seminar will conclude with low cost and easy tips and tricks to protect PCs from data loss.
By the time you leave the luncheon you will know the most common reason for data loss; the 20 common backup mistakes resulting in data loss during an emergency; why the time to restore your server may be several days longer than you want; and how the cloud can help in your backup strategy. Additionally, you will also learn ways to test the backup system and ways to reduce the impact of human error.
