NCET helps you explore business and technology
More than 19 years ago, AIMS Power founder Bruce de Jong began the company in his garage.
“That’s where I built the foundation of the business,” said Company Founder and President Bruce de Jong. “But it became apparent that shipping truckloads out of my garage wasn’t exactly appreciated by the neighbors.”
Today, the company operates from a facility off of Gateway Drive that is powered by the company’s green products and demonstrates its commitment to sustainable energy use. Here, AIMS manufactures DC to AC power inverters and distributes solar panels, batteries, cables, and other green energy products.
Founded in 2001 in Reno, AIMS Power Inc.’s mission is to provide a wide range of high-quality green energy products for personal and commercial use. It produces and sells DC to AC power inverters, solar charge controllers, cables, batteries, and solar panels. Power inverters provide reliable, safe solutions for construction purposes, satellites, audio equipment, amplifiers, televisions, computers, medical equipment, and much more.
Since the addition of its solar panel, charge controller, and deep-cycle battery product lines, AIMS Power has become a one-stop-shop for all customers’ sustainable energy needs. The company supplies its products to customers throughout the United States and internationally. Some organizations on its client list include NASA, the Department of Defense, and Princeton University. Whether it’s providing mobile electricity for a fleet of work trucks or emergency backup power for someone’s house, there’s no job too big or small for AIMS.
Through its end-user site, theinverterstore.com, AIMS has led the power inverter industry by providing a total, turn-key solution to resellers, distributors, and OEMs. The Inverter Store provides customers with a reliable source of unique power products at competitive prices. The complete line of inverters, transfer switches, custom cut cables, and proprietary products, represents one of the largest selections in the industry.
Many boaters, RVers, and commercial trucks/sites and fleets use The Inverter Store’s product inventory, to access an easy-to-use, consistent power supply that ultimately simplifies their power needs while on the road. The Inverter Store offers customers assistance in choosing the right inverter the very first time.
“It’s becoming a little easier to incorporate solar and alternative energy solutions,” said Laura de Jong, the company’s vice president of sales and marketing. “We probably have a solution for you.”
In addition to recreational and commercial uses, AIMS Power systems provide power during natural disasters and electricity crises. From Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico in 2017 to the recent blackouts in California, AIMS Power can provide a reliable source of power.
