Wednesday, January 17: 2 – 4 pm, Speaker at 3 pm – Rounds Bakery
We’ve all been watching with bated breath: How will the next tax bill shake out? And perhaps more importantly, how will it impact me? (And by “me,” we mean, “you.”)
Luckily, we have an expert on hand to help you decode the new tax plan and how it will impact your business.
Randi Thompson, the Nevada State Director for the National Federation of Independent Business — and also a lobbyist for small business in Carson City — will be joining us for January’s Biz Café in the Rancharrah Pavilion. She will talk about the new tax plan during her presentation, called “How will Congressional Tax Reform Impact Small Business?”
Randi spent 10 years as a lobbyist in Washington DC, returning to Nevada in 1993; she has been a lobbyist at the Nevada legislature almost every session since then. Randi owns her own political and public relations consulting firm and runs a CEO consulting firm.
Using her wealth of experience and in-depth knowledge of taxes and politics, in this presentation, she’s ready to teach you:
– The impact of the federal tax legislation on small businesses
– How the 2018 election can impact small business
– What we should expect from our Nevada legislators in 2019.
NCET’s Biz Café is open from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17, and the program starts at 3 p.m.
Oh, and by the way: It’s free to attend, no RSVPs are needed, and everyone is welcome.
