Wednesday, October 16 :
NEW TIME: 2 – 4 PM, SPEAKERS AT 3 PM
When it comes to business and first impressions, words matter — whether it’s the elevator pitch you employ at a networking event, or the “about us” page on your website that serves to allow potential customers to know who you are and what you do.
And this Biz Café is going to help you knock those first impressions out of the proverbial park!
Join us for an interactive session called “Building a Better Professional Bio/Elevator Pitch” with speaker Shawna Guarino. This presentation is designed for business owners and professionals who want to create an evolving professional bio for networking groups, about me/us pages, or print bios.
After attending this Biz Café, you’ll know more about the importance of the pitch and bio as they pertain to helping you increase business and referrals. Some takeaways:
- Learn the basics of a professional bio
- Identify your target audience
- Effectively showcase yourself through your words
- Customize your bio for an enhanced elevator speech
Presenter Shawna Guarino has more than 10 years of experience developing employees, having served members, customers, and clients as a Branch Manager, Senior Training Specialist, Mortgage Loan Officer, Business Banker and Investment Advisor. Shawna is a dedicated mother of two who volunteers her time throughout the community as an active member of Professional Saleswomen of Nevada, Reno/Sparks Chamber of Commerce, Washoe Education Support Professionals, and served as a TMCC Promise Student Mentor in the inaugural 2018 year.
Please join us at Rounds Bakery from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16; the program starts at 3 p.m. It’s free to attend, no RSVPs are needed, and everyone is welcome!
Join us, and be ready to leave with the first impression of your business dreams — all thanks to Shawna Guarino and her keys to bio/elevator pitch success!
