Trust, transparency, and teamwork flourish when an organization encourages its staff to communicate openly and clearly. So believes Christina Nemec, Founder of Simply Worded, who on April 15, 2020, will hold a four-step workshop she calls “Get R.E.A.L.” It’s designed to help businesses improve their mission, morale, and bottom line through more effective language and communication.
Join the NCET team for an engaging afternoon of meaningful team-building activities that will show attendees how to connect authentically and correctly through language, and also help to improve productivity and employee retention through communicating with power, elegance, and clarity.
Nemec says that while social media and the Internet have made us all writers, our collective ability to connect through language has not advanced along with technology. In answer to that, she says those attending her presentation will learn ways to build genuine connections using language.
About the speaker:
Christina Nemec is the founder of Simply Worded. She earned an MFA in Fiction from the University of California, Irvine, where she taught writing for over 10 years before making her dream of living in the Sierra Nevada mountains a reality.
As a freelance writer, Christina has also published interviews and feature articles in various regional publications across the country. When she is not busy delivering Simply Worded workshops, Christina enjoys her time teaching composition at Sierra College or hiking the spectacular trails surrounding Truckee with her two dogs, Bode and Roscoe.
So join us online at 3 pm. It’s free to attend, no RSVPs are needed, and everyone is welcome!
