As a business owner, situations like COVID-19 can send you into a tailspin. When an unexpected circumstance hits, you tend to redirect your focus and resources towards that situation. COVID-19 has probably taken that to the extreme for you.
In times like these, it’s important to slow down and assess your current state, your desired future state and understand how the adjusted current state has impacted where you were going.
Join us on May 27 as Devin Sizemore shares a number of tools that will give you a way to understand your actual current state and make sure you are focused on the right areas of your business. Devin will also share a number of lessons learned while helping hundreds of clients navigate the COVID-19 situation.
Devin’s presentation explores:
- How to evaluate People, Process, Product, Pipeline, Finance and Structure
- Using the “ABC player tool” to evaluate your team
- Employees: Your biggest liability and your biggest asset
- The “Eating an elephant one bite at a time” approach to evaluating your business
- Some key tools to help you evaluate the current state and the future state as you look at things reopening
About the speaker:
Devin Sizemore is the Area Manager of BBSI in Reno, where he leverages the knowledge he has gained by working with hundreds of small to medium businesses in the last 10 years. Devin has been an entrepreneur all his life, always looking for ways to get paid to solve problems or add value. Devin founded and ran an online marketing company from 2012 – 2016. He then went on to launch a sales consulting company, a manufacturing company, a co-working space and more. Although not all the ventures have worked out, this hands-on experience has given him the ability to empathize with the businesses he works with at BBSI.
In 2018, Devin left the entrepreneurial world to take over the Reno branch for BBSI. Although BBSI is a publicly traded company with 70 branches they run very decentralized, allowing Devin to still function as an entrepreneur, with a lot of support behind him.
When Devin is not working with small businesses he is spending time with his three kids, spending time with his little brother with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Northern Nevada, giving back through his involvement in various non-profits, speaking at various high school & university classes about entrepreneurship and marketing, and if it is good weather you may find him on a golf course.
