Nina, a Reno native, has been with Great Basin FCU for over 13 years where she’s gained experience working in several departments and holding various positions prior to taking on the role as the business lending expert.
Nina has vast knowledge and a great passion for working directly with members to find solutions that help them succeed and take their business to the next level. She’s a wife, mom, reader, board member for the Northern Nevada Credit Union Chapter, and volunteers for Pinocchio’s Moms on the Run (a local charity). Mary Kerner is the CEO for the Rural Nevada Development Corporation in Ely. Her lending service area encompasses all of Nevada, with specialty in the rural areas. She is responsible for effectively creating and administering an $18 million loan portfolio and maintaining a less than 1 % default rate, that alone would be worthy of recognition. However, she has also consistently worked to insure RNDC clients receive the needed business acumen, technical assistance and advocacy required to achieve and maintain success, both before and after they receive their funding through RNDC. Her loans range from $500 up to $250,000.
Greg manages the production, underwriting and business development activities for Nevada State Development Corporation’s Reno Office (NSDC). NSDC is a non-profit entity, chartered by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to provide long-term, fixed-rate financing of owner-occupied commercial real estate and eligible long-term equipment through the 504 loan program.
Prior to managing production, Greg was one of NSDC’s Loan Officers, working directly with borrowers, lenders, commercial realtors and other business partners to underwrite loans and structure project financing. As a Loan Officer, he developed more than five years of commercial credit underwriting experience by working with a multitude of businesses and borrowers for the financing of projects including, but not limited to; office, medical, hotels/motels, golf courses, warehouse / industrial, gas stations, leasehold interest, and many others.
