NCET Biz Bite – Introverts and extroverts unite! (Just sometimes separately and alone.) – Apr 25

Introverts and extroverts unite! (Just sometimes separately and alone.)

April 25 11 am – 1 pm

Mikalee Byerman

Did you know that nearly half of the people you work with or interact with daily are wired in pretty much the exact opposite way you are?

Not even kidding: Recent estimates show that the ratio of introverts and extroverts in the workforce is roughly 50-50. So whether you work in a cubicle or an open floorplan, have abundant team meetings or work mostly alone, you’ve likely thought to yourself, “It’s just not NATURAL to work this way!”

And you’re absolutely right.

But there are solutions. There are ways introverts and extroverts can thrive together in business settings. Just sometimes in totally different ways.

Join Estipona Group’s VP of Strategy Mikalee Byerman — a “surprising introvert,” as others have called her, because she “acts extroverted” — as she explores how to customize the work environment to foster the very best contributions from introverts and extroverts alike.

Byerman will offer:

– A peek inside the bizarre inner world of introverts (bizarre, that is, if you are an extrovert) and extroverts (if you are an introvert) in the workplace. How they see the world/recharge may totally shock you!

– Ideas about how to take the favoritism out of your office environment, letting everyone let their freak introvert/extrovert flags FLY.

– Solutions and results — what potential are you squandering if you don’t think about personality types in your workplace? Turns out, personality definitely plays into the bottom line.

Oh, and one more thing: Introversion and extroversion may mean something entirely different than you think. Did you know there are outgoing introverts and shy extroverts? Yup. Totally true.

Here are the deets:
