The Alliance for Nevada Nonprofits, affectionately called ANN, strengthens our community by increasing the influence and capacity of Nevada’s nonprofit sector – a sector that currently consists of nearly 5,000 nonprofits.
ANN delivers relevant and market-sensitive products and services to charities across the entire state, and works closely with existing nonprofit networks, programs, and services to capitalize on economies of scale and avoid duplication.
ANN’s website (www.AllianceForNevadaNonprofits.org) receives thousands of visitors each month, and serves as a portal to the wealth of information available to Nevada’s nonprofit sector. One of the website’s most popular features is the “Career Center” (or job board) where job seekers post resumes for free and nonprofits view resumes and post jobs at deep discounts for members.
ANN offers numerous educational programs including 60-minute webinars on a wide variety of timely topics, three-hour workshops, and compensation studies. Since 2010, ANN has provided over 11,000 hours of professional development to nearly 6,000 nonprofit leaders, and has saved Nevada nonprofits nearly $2 million. With a growing database of more than 3,883 nonprofit leaders, its outreach is vast.
On October 2-3, 2014, ANN’s two-day regional conference at Harrah’s Reno will feature keynote speaker Pedro Martinez, Superintendent of the Washoe County School District. Designed for CEOs, Executive Directors, Development Directors, Fundraisers, Administrative/Program Staff, Board, Volunteers and Consultants, the conference will offer workshops and tracks focused on:
- Elephants in the Board Room
- Rethinking Volunteers: The Service Enterprise Model
- QuickBooks® Made Easy™ for Nonprofits
- Fundraising, Grants & Resources
- Internal Productivity Tools: Planning for Success
- Best Practices in School District-Nonprofit Partnerships
ANN members receive access and discounts for all staff, board members and volunteers as well as unlimited access to ANN’s comprehensive Training Archive of 42 recorded webinars and Toolkits for Board Capacity Building, and deeply discounted subscriptions to GrantStation’s online funder database.
