“After the Business License” Monthly Program – July 25

The Nevada SBDC is launching its new monthly program, FREE to the public, for early stage and established business owners in Las Vegas on Thursday, July 25th from 8:00 – 10:00 am at the One-Stop Career Center.
After the Business License will provide valuable resources and information for business owners who may be at a cross road as to what their next strategic steps are in growing a sustainable business in southern Nevada. To understand how to grow effectively, it is helpful to understand why so many other businesses have failed. Learn to avoid costly pitfalls, and grow your awareness of how and where to funnel yourself strategically towards what your business needs now.

NSBDCAgenda items include:

  • Why businesses fail
  • How to identify your target market, and pursue this market effectively  (market research)
  • Adequate record keeping
  • Filing your taxes (includes official IRS small business packet)
  • Funnel yourself towards what your business needs NOW – overview of resources

After the Business License is designed to help small business owners assess their own credentials as an entrepreneur to successfully operate a business, identify areas of improvement and learn about the opportunities and resources that could potentially be valuable to their business and operating skills.
